Hi there!
I'm Briana (BREE-AH-nuh), a passionate product design leader deeply rooted in the world of evolving technologies and user experiences. My big thing is making meaningful connections – be it between technology and art, or between teams and user needs.
I graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and also designed and completed my own unique concentration of Digital Experience Design to bring together visual and experience design within the context of innovation. While in undergrad, I spent my summers as a Product Design Intern at Intuit QuickBooks and spent the time I had outside of classes on getting Formally off the ground and championing design education in the Department of Engineering.
After graduating, I stepped into a full-time Product Design role at Intuit Quickbooks on their Payroll Tax capability and volunteered my nights and weekends to design and help fundraise for Formally’s pre-seed round of funding. When we secured our $2.3 million round of funding lead by Bessemer Venture Partners, I left Intuit (a bittersweet moment) and joined Formally full-time as the Head of Product and Design. No matter where I've been, my goal stays the same: to bridge the gap between the technical and the non-technical, ensuring products deeply resonate with user needs.
When I’m not working, you might find me adventuring around my favorite national parks or mastering a new culinary feat. I view myself as a lifelong student (corny, but true), entrepreneur, and designer, and strive to make things that shift perspectives and lifestyles. I'm excited to continue this journey, always seeking to drive growth and foster user-centric approaches that matter.
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat about design, the wonders of the Californian coast, or your favorite books (I can’t stop rereading N.K. Jemisin’s Broken Earth trilogy)!
